World traveling and cloister

So, the last 18 months have been ordered to getting medical school interviews. And here they come. I just flew in from PA, and will head over to NJ the day after tomorrow. Another is set up for January... and I keep thinking of these as infringements on my peace and sanity. Go figure. Maybe I should run away and become a hermit. ess.

Speaking of, unless you already have, go watch Into Great Silence as soon as you can. Be patient. Let the mindset soak into you through and through. And then go become a hermit. I'm not sure hermetical life ever had a more accessible advertisement.

Running away is, generally, a bad idea. Have patience and persevere. *end of preaching*

Yes, interviews with graduate schools suck. Esp. while one is still in undergraduate school. They disturb one's equilibrium, and are twists in the dagger of destiny that says "YOURE GOING TO BE IN SCHOOL FOR THE REST OF YOUR IMMEDIATE FUTURE!"

And being proactive is a pain, too.

But monastics have their own set of troubles to go with their peace, quiet, and given order.
