Notes on having reached the capitol

A little walking clears the head. Lack of sleep fogs it up. Call it even? Nah.

It's a little stunning to live with the same people ever at your elbow for 10 weeks and then suddenly to be away from them, at home. Were they really there? Did I really just walk across the country? Where did the summer go?

The body is amazing- put 700 or 900 miles on a car and it's only that much worse, but put them under your feet and your legs will be all the stronger for it. God be praised in His marvelous handiwork!
